FireStopper Marketing Department White Paper
Technology Breakthrough: Class D Dry Chemical extinguishers were the only weapons against the devastating effects of flammable metal fires…Now we have FireStopper®
Preface
FireStopper International Limited, a transnational Registered Company, is the developer of the most advanced and powerful firefighting technology in the “World”. It devoted the first 25-years of its existence to R&D and the recipient of subsequent stand alone testing results in ratings and certifications by the most recognized and respected third-party testing and listing facilities in the world.
Moreover, this unique Technology has rendered the only available all fire class effective and anti- explosive products, which are non-toxic, non-irritant, environmentally safe and non-hazardous over all other existing and available products in the fire and safety channel of business.
Having proven the former statement through the outstanding results of the products testing, rating, and certifications thus received, FireStopper®, in tandem with its novel firefighting and anti- explosion products (the “software”), developed the most durable and reliable supporting hardware and detection systems available today, which also meet and exceed the relative standards used to certify said product lines.
In the International arena, the FireStopper® brand is the recipient of the highest certifications in all category of Governmental requirements to market such as defined below:
Handheld Portable Extinguishers:
ANSI/UL711, ULC – Southwest Research Institute (San Antonio, TX) Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) US Gov. NSN Approval #s’
EN3-7; EN3-81 – MPA, Dresden (Germany) CE2 – DNV
Firefighting Foam Concentrates:

Executive Summary
All available class “D” Dry Chemical extinguishers operate by creating a barrier on the flammable metal with its content powder. The high heat generated by said metal fire is supposed to additionally create a glaze that supposedly will seal the flammable metal and cause it to extinguish. Well in theory this premise should work however, in the real world, the class “D” agent covers the burning metal, which continues to burn beneath and produce the extreme heat for a very long time (8 to 12-hrs) before the fuel is exhausted. In addition, class “D” extinguishers are designed for ONLY one class of fire. This is restrictive and labor intense in their usage since most fire events involve multiple flammable sources and materials.
Also, all class “D” materials are hazardous to the environment and to human life. Potentially producing unintended collateral damage.
This method of Dry Chem suppression is marginal at best. Currently there is NO long-term application method for class “D” Dry Chem for industrial large-scale class “D” fire incidents. The only method available using class “D” Chem is through portable extinguishers from 30-lbs to 150- 250-lbs.
When a fire event occurs in an industrial setting where flammable metals are present in substantial quantity and form, the fire departments are at a disadvantage due to their primary standard attack being water3. Water creates an explosive environment when it comes in contact with flammable metal fires.
With the advent of the environmentally safe, non toxic, non aggressive FireStopper® Technology’s all fire class effective, Anti Explosive liquid products PFE-FR FFC (Fire Fighting Catalyst) and FireStopper® EXP FFC, for the first time in fire fighting history, the end user has available to it the most powerful and efficient weapon in a portable system against any fire event. When using large capacity equipment on large fires requiring fire professionals, the FireStopper® concentrate line of products are the only true reliable weapons against all classes and subclasses of flammables delivering swift closure to the event, with minimal cleanup and total post fire reliability.
In contrast with Dry Chem, FireStopper® FFCs’ interact with the flammable metal by reacting, neutralizing and extinguishing the hazard. Moreover, where Dry Chem is incompetent in the reduction of temperature, FireStopper® with its unique endothermic capacity instantly reduce the environment temperature typically from >1800º F to <120º F in the first 30 to 40-secs. Most class “D” events are extinguished totally by FireStopper® in less than 7-minutes4.
Initially, FireStopper® chose to certify its full line of portable extinguishers, exclusively porting PFE- FR FFC, and its full line of concentrates to EN3-7/8, EN 1568, IMO and ICAO at MPA Dresden, Germany and CNPP, France respectively. Since the international markets follow the European Standards for portable extinguishers, concentrates, IMO, and ICAO, FireStopper® additionally chose to test the innovative small portable extinguisher line to ANSI/UL711, ULC at Southwest Research Institute. Here FireStopper® achieved ratings never before possible for its small handheld extinguishers due to the enormous power of the PFE-FR FFC and at the same time demonstrating their efficacy on class “D” materials.
In the case where large quantities of flammable class “D” materials are involved in a fire event, fire departments now have the ability to attack any class of fire with just one product without the fear of an explosive event taking place due to the application of water. Moreover, in the advent of FireStopper®, for the first time Municipal fire responders have massive application capability when employing FireStopper® concentrate products to ameliorate said fire emergency.
Below is a photographic time sequence depicting the extraordinary efficacy of the FireStopper® Technology on Lithium metal demonstrated through its premier product PFE-FR the exclusive product of FireStopper® branded portable and static systems:

Conclusion
Responsibility to provide safety is owed to the public by both Government and Industry. In current profound social and economic conditions, Government, Industry and the consumer cannot afford the risk of loss both materially and always risk to life. FireStopper® offers the only real security against the always present danger of catastrophic fire and or worst explosion.
